Cleveland High School Band Parent’s Association Financial Aid Guidelines
Scholarships for marching band refer to financial aid or assistance provided to students who participate in the various Cleveland Arts Performance Ensembles (CAPE) to help towards their fair share payments. The CAPE requires families to contribute financially towards the expenses associated with their students participating in the ensembles, such as uniforms, equipment, travel, and other operational costs. However, some students may face financial constraints that make it
challenging for them to meet these fair share payments. To address this issue, the CAPE may offer partial (only) scholarships to eligible students. These scholarships can help reduce the financial burden on families and their students and enable them to participate fully in the band program. The specific terms and conditions of such scholarships can vary greatly depending on
the circumstances of your student or the family. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving a scholarship for this financial expense, it is advisable to reach out to the CAPE Board of Directors along with by completing the application online. They can provide you with more information about any available scholarships, application procedures, eligibility criteria, and deadlines. It’s worth noting that the availability of scholarships and the extent of financial aid provided may differ from one season to the next and there is no guarantee of any available funds to your student’s fair share. If a partial scholarship is provided to your student, in addition, this will come with volunteer hours from the parent/student in order to obtain this scholarship. Once an application is received, further information will be discussed with you and your student.
The deadline to submit an application is before the first day of band camp for the summer/fall marching season and before the first practice for the winter ensembles.
